The Zawinul Legacy Band
The Zawinul Legacy Band is the officially endorsed band of the Zawinul estate. For the 2013 Europe tour, the lineup is Scott Kinsey (keyboards), Robert Thomas, Jr. (hand percussion), Katisse Buckingham (saxophone and flute), Mike Baker (drums), and Hadrien Feraud (electric bass). The Syndicate
The Syndicate was formed by several members of the Zawinul Syndicate to carry on Joe’s legacy. It originally featured four members of the final edition of the Zawinul Syndicate: Drummer Paco Sery, percussionist/vocalist Aziz Sahmaoui, percussionist Jorge Bezerra, and guitarist Alegre Corrêa, who has since been replaced by Munir Hossn. Additional members are Aloune Wade on bass, Emile Parisien on sax, and Thierry Eliez on keyboards. Former Zawinul Syndicate vocalist Sabine Kabongo is a frequent guest.
