The Syndicate
The Syndicate was formed by several members of the Zawinul Syndicate to carry on Joe’s legacy by performing his music live. It originally featured four members of the final edition of the Zawinul Syndicate: Drummer Paco Sery, percussionist/vocalist Aziz Sahmaoui, percussionist Jorge Bezerra, and guitarist Alegre Corrêa. The current lineup consists of Emille Parisien or Andrej Prosorov – alto and soprano sax; Amit Chatterjee or Munir Hossn – guitar; Alioune Wade – bass, vocals; Jojo Lackner – bass; Jorge Bezerra – percussion, vocal; Jon Crancamp or Walter Sitz – drums; Thierry Eliez or Pietro de Girolamo – keyboards.
